Homework Help: chemistry

the diagram below shows a structural formulae of 3 cabon compounds labelled 1 2 and 3 and the eaction between compounds 1 and 2. The equation for this reaction is incomplete only the reactants are shown, the missing products being indicatedby a?

i dont know what they are expecting, also is OH a functional group compound

Yes, OH on an alkene is an alcohol and it is a functional group. But I can't tell what you have drawn. I suspect the three compounds form a polymer but I'm just guessing.

yes i do think so and i have to show the products the how do i work it ot the CH3 is stemed from the CH and the CH3 from the second group CH

if that helps its a bit hard to explain im afraid
