What is a reciprocal
A number's "flip". Like if you have 2/3, it's reciprocal would be 3/2.
If you have a whole number like 5, for example, than it is understood that there is a 1 under the 5. (5/1) This means that the reciprocal of 5 is 1/5.
To find the reciprocal of a number, you simply need to flip the numerator and the denominator. If the number is a fraction, swap the numerator and denominator. For example, if you have the fraction 2/3, the reciprocal would be 3/2.
If you have a whole number, like 5, it is understood to have a denominator of 1. So, the reciprocal of 5 would be 1/5.
