How can I make this better?
The prompt is to explain how the author uses narrative voice and characterization to provide social commentary in "The Other Paris"

Mavis Gallant used both narrative voice and characterization brilliantly in this excerpt of her story “The Other Paris”. She makes great use of the role of the omniscient narrator. She provides insight into the characters by revealing the characters’ private thoughts and feelings. The personalities of the characters gives perspective into what the social norm was in the 1950’s.
