1/x + 1/x+2 =11/60
What's the first step to find value of x?

Multiply both sides of the equation by

x(x+2)

You get:

x+2 + x = 11/60 x*(x+2) -->

11/60 x^2 + (11/30 - 2)x - 2 = 0
