Homework Help: English (No one answered for 7 hours)

Posted by Gina on Monday, January 29, 2007 at 7:29am.

What is the meaning of this quote said by Octavious:

"So call the field to rest, and let's away
To part the glories of this happy day" (5.5.79-80)

Before Ovtavious says this, Antony talks about how Brutus was a honourable man. So, is the meaning of this quote just to celebrate their victory over Cassuis and Brutus???

It sounds like it.

"call the field to rest" could mean to stop all hostile actions

"let's away" = let's go

"part" = impart, tell about

=)

PS -- most of us were asleep!!!

Thank-you
