Homework Help: math

Posted by jon on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at 7:18pm.

5.3+u=3.2u-2.7

456789
times 567?!?!!

First, subtract u from both sides so you get:
5.3 = 2.2u - 2.7.
Then, add 2.7 to each side to get:
8 = 2.2u.
Then, do 8/2.2, so u=3.63 (the 63 is repeating).
