Has anyone read the book The Undomestic Goddess. Have to pick a subject and write about it. I think I picked a bad book. What could I write (an idea) that could set me off in the write track. I started writing how she was treated different when she was a lawyer as compared to being a housekeeper.

I went to amazonl.com and found a couple of write-ups about this book. http://www.amazon.com/Undomestic-Goddess-Sophie-Kinsella/dp/0385338694/sr=1-1/qid=1169235148/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/104-5167000-2771105?ie=UTF8&s=books

About the best I can suggest is to write about how people often try to run away from mistakes and problems, only to have them haunt them later.

Next best suggestion: Write about how sometimes the slower-paced life is much more fulfilling than the fast-paced, career-path life ... or something like that.

=)

It seems like you are struggling to find a focus for your writing about the book "The Undomestic Goddess" by Sophie Kinsella. To help you get on the right track, I suggest following these steps:

1. Read the book thoroughly: Before you start writing, make sure you understand the plot, characters, and themes of the book. Take notes on key events, character development, and any recurring themes or symbols that stand out to you.

2. Identify the main themes: Based on what you have read and your initial thoughts about the book, try to identify and narrow down the main themes or messages the author is conveying. In this case, it seems like one theme is the difference in treatment between being a lawyer and a housekeeper. However, you could also explore other themes such as personal growth, self-discovery, societal expectations, or the pursuit of happiness.

3. Conduct further research: To gain a deeper understanding of the book and gather more ideas for your writing, you can conduct additional research. In this case, you mentioned finding some write-ups about the book on Amazon. Read those reviews and see if they mention any specific themes or ideas that you find interesting.

4. Explore different angles: Once you have a list of potential themes or ideas, brainstorm different angles or perspectives you could take in your writing. For example, you could focus on the main character's personal development as she transitions from being a lawyer to a housekeeper, or you could discuss the societal pressures and biases that shaped her experiences in both roles.

5. Organize your thoughts: Create an outline to organize your main points and arguments. This will help you structure your essay effectively and ensure a logical flow of ideas.

6. Write and revise: Start drafting your essay, making sure to support your points with evidence and examples from the book. Be clear and concise in your writing, and remember to use proper citations if you reference any external sources. Once you have completed a rough draft, take the time to revise, edit, and proofread your work to improve clarity, coherence, and grammar.

Remember, the most important thing is to choose a topic or angle that interests you and allows you to explore the book's themes and ideas in a meaningful way. Good luck with your writing!
