Posted by cymantha on Monday, November 20, 2006 at 8:22pm.

Mandy runs 4km in 18min. She plans to run in a 15km race. How long will it take her to complete the race?

distance = rate x time
distance - 15 km
time = solve for this
rate = 4km/18min

4km/18 mins = 1km/4.5 mins so

15 kms x 4.5 mins = 67.5 mins
= 1 hr 7 mins 30 secs

hope that helkps ~
