To writeacher,
Can you please explain what you refer to the following:

The following sentences need to be under the rule of Punctuation within sentences-hyphen. If the sentences need no change i have to write no change.

7. You will need to write both short-and long -term goals.

My answer: You will need to write both short-terms and long-term goals.

If you're careful of the spacing, you should write it like this ~~> You will need to write both short- and long-term goals. Do you see the difference?

(my question is for number 7 i don't see the difference in spacing can you explain what am i suppost to be looking at.The way you have it as a reply it seems that i should leave it as it's original. )

9. One half of the student body attended the football game.

My answer: No change Written-out fractions need hyphenation: one-half

(Did you mean I have to change it to the following: One-half of the student body attended the football game.

These sentences need to be under the rule of Punctuation within sentences square brackets. or write no change.

14. The politician argued [in quite a pompous way that the]state government had never been in better hands.

My answer:The politician argued (in quite a pompus way that the)state government had never been in better hands.

The original looks OK; better yet would be to delete the square brackets.

(my question for number 14 when you've replied back is did you mean i shouldn't place neither the brackets or parentheses.)

15. The sixth-grader had written in his essay that "his school experience had been deploreable [deplorable.]"

my answer:The sixth-grader had written in his essay that "his school experience had been deploreable "[deplorable].

No; try this: The sixth-grader had written in his essay that "his school experience had been [deplorable].

(My question for number 15 shouldn't there be two of the following " and " in this sentence or is it possible to only have one.)

The original: You will need to write both short-and long -term goals.
To correct: You will need to write both short- and long-term goals.
There needs to be a hyphen and a space after "short" and there needs to be no extra spaces when you write/type "long-term" -- is that any clearer?

(my question for number 14 when you've replied back is did you mean i shouldn't place neither the brackets or parentheses.) right -- certainly no parentheses; square brackets would be used only if all the words outside the brackets in the original were quoted and the words in the brackets were an addition of someone who felt the sentence needed more explanation or something. But since quotation is not indicated, I believe there should be no parentheses or brackets at all.
