Homework Help: Math

I need help with figuring out the equation 5(2x+3)-8x=7

5(2x+3)-8x=7
10x+15-8x=7
2x+15=7
2x=7-15
2x=-8
/2 /2
x= -4

uh -8/2=-16 yes?
