Homework Help: 1861 England

Did anything major occur around the 1860s in England? Other than inventions and England's take on the American Civil War.

You'll have to change the year and then check month by month to find out. This includes things that happened in the world, so you'll have to read through each one to find info about England.

I went to www.google.com and entered 1861 England but the results are almost 100% about genealogy searches!
