Homework Help: CULTURAL DIVERSITY

If someone made the below statements to you, how would you explain that the statements are misconceptions?
1. Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders are a model minority.

2. Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders belong to a single "Asian American" culture.

Do you think most Americans believe these misconceptions? why or why not.

Please name all the countries and cultures included in these two groups. Then research some of their cultural patterns. Once you see how different the cultures and belief systems are in these different countries, you'll understand why these too-broad labels are inaccurate -- and why they lead to misconceptions.
