"Why do we need society?" Is that the question you are supposed to write about?

Here is a suggested outline for you. Since I don't know how long or short your paper is, I'm putting it into a five-paragraph format, and you can expand if you need to. Then below the outline I'm suggesting are some websites you can use to help you with the prewriting steps, the introduction, the conclusion, etc.
I. Introduction -- ending with your thesis statement
II. Definition of "society" (don't quote from any dictionary; put this into your own words.
III. What life would be like in our country if we didn't have a defined society; be sure to give some specific examples.
IV. What life is like because we do have a defined society; again, be sure to give some specific examples.
V. Conclusion -- echoing your introduction, but not repeating any of it word-for-word
