What is the meaning of , "And thus the whirigig of time bringshis revenges."

"the whirligig of time"...a whirligig is something that goes around...like a merry-go-round. So, time goes around...what happened in the past will come back to get you (what goes around comes around)...so, it brings back his revenges...people that he had wronged in the past will come back to get him!!

What does the quote mean?
