Solve
1.-6b+1+4b= -3b+6
2.8x - 4x = -8
3.the sum of twice a number and 14 less than the number is the same as the difference between -38 and the number. what is the number?
4. some number is six more than eight. what is the number?
5. 3.2x + 5.6x = 3.1 + 32.1
-6b+1+4b=-3b+6
-6b+4b+3b=6-1
b=5
I think thats right. If its wrong someone correct me.
that's what I got too!!
I need to get my math homework done snd it is plotting figurse on a coordinate grid and it due on october 12 2006 and that TOMMROW !
Please do not use my name to do your work.
Ok, so post a new question and we'll see if we can help.
You're asked
Solve
1.-6b+1+4b= -3b+6
Rearrange the b's to get and add -1 to each side to get
-6b + 4b + 3b = 6 - 1 or
7b-6b=5 so b=5
2.8x - 4x = -8
This is (8-4)x=-8 or
4x=-8 now divide both sides by 4 to solve for x.
3.the sum of twice a number and 14 less than the number is the same as the difference between -38 and the number. what is the number?
Then 2x + (x-14) = -38 - x
So 3x - 14 = -38 - x
adding x and 14 to both sides you get
4x = -24 now divide both sides by 6
(Hopefully I read the problem correctly.)
4. some number is six more than eight. what is the number?
So x = 8 + 6
5. 3.2x + 5.6x = 3.1 + 32.1
Combine the x's to get
8.8x=35.2 then divide both sides by 8.8 to get x.
No, I'm not...and who are you supposed to be?
Look funny guy, learn to spell. There's only one l in DrPhil. Got it?
I NEED HELP WITH EVERYTHING IN MATH INCLUDING DIVIDING CUZ IM ONLY 8
Ok, then post a new question and we'll try to answer them.
Can you help me?
Post a new question and I'll try.
what is 1,000 times 1 million
1 000 000 000 000
I can help you!!!
Do you know English?
who me?
yes you. ??? Do you???
what is 244 times 344
.... 344
....x 244
__________
.....1376
....1376
....688
__________
....83936
how about this....... the area of a circle with radius is given by the formulaA=pie times radius to the 2nd power
make a table of values for A ,as radius increase from 0 to 10 units
I think DrBob went through this with you already. To make the table put 0 to 10 down the left side, r, r^2 and A at the top. Then calculate the area for each value.
It looks like
r...r^2...A=pi*r^2
0...0....pi*0
1...1....pi*1
2...4....pi*4
3...9....pi*9
Now finish the square for 4 to 10 and find the areas.
He's not the TV guy.
Solve
1.-6b+1+4b= -3b+6
Move the bs to one side and numbers to the other side. Change sign when changing sides.
-6b+4b+3b=6-1. Now combine terms.
-6b+7b=5
b=5
2.8x - 4x = -8
Just combine terms and solve for x. Post your answer here if you want us to check it.
3.the sum of twice a number and 14 less than the number is the same as the difference between -38 and the number. what is the number?
4. some number is six more than eight. what is the number?
let X = the number
X=8 + 6
Solve for X.
5. 3.2x + 5.6x = 3.1 + 32.1
Combine terms.
8.8X = 35.2
This give you 8.8X. You want to solve for X. Just divide both sides by 8.8
8.8X/8.8 = 35.2/8.8
X = ??
I hope this helps get you started.
