estimate.State your standard(rounding,front-end, or clustering.)

91.7 + 88.6 + 89.1 + 92.52 + 90.6

3.9 + 8.1 + 2.06

Please and Thank-You

Standard = what process you always use. For example, if you always round up for 6 or .6, etc., then that's your standard. Using that standard, then you'd have the following:

92 + 89 + 89 + 92 + 91 = almost the same as 5 x 90 = 450 (estimated)

4 + 8 + 2 = 14 (estimated)

Someone else may have further or different information, but this is what my grandchildren have been studying.

I searched Google under the key words "math rounding clustering front-end" to get these possible sources:

I hope this helps. Thanks for asking.

I need help rounding numbers.

please help what is 835 rounded to the nearest 100

4.2+3.7

8.0

What is the estimate product of 436 multiplied by 93

To round a number to the nearest hundred, you need to consider the digit in the tens place. Here's how you can round 835 to the nearest 100:

Look at the digit in the tens place, which is 3. If the digit in the tens place is 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4, you round down. If it's 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9, you round up.

In this case, the digit in the tens place is 3, which is less than 5. Therefore, you would round down.

To round down, you keep the digit in the hundreds place (8) and change all the digits to the right to zeros. So, rounding 835 to the nearest 100 gives you 800.

I hope this helps!
