the area of a rectangle is 175 and the length is 1 and a half times bigger than the width. find the width

L x W = Area

L = 1.5W

1.5W x W = 175 or 1.5W^2 = 175

W^2 = =116.666 making W = 10.80... and L = 16.20...

10.80... x 16.20... = 175
