MY DAUGHTER IS IN 3RD GRADE, AND I NEEDED HELP ON A QUESTION,

STEVE'S BIRTHDAY IS BETWEEN MAY 23. THE DATE OF HIS BIRTHDAY IS NOT AN ODD NUMBER. THE SUM OF THE DIGITS IS 9. WHEN IS STEVE'S BIRTHDAY??

PLEASE HELP ME WITH THE ANSWER I DO NOT UNDERSTAND.

I answered this below. Divide both sides by 28.

I don't understand this statement:
"STEVE'S BIRTHDAY IS BETWEEN MAY 23. "
Between may 23 and what?
For this part:
"THE SUM OF THE DIGITS IS 9."
The sum of which digits? The digits in the day?
If it's the sum of the day's digits, then we know it must be
18 or 27.
I'm not entirely sure what's being asked so I'm not sure how much help I can give.

Since the only pair of numbers that sum to 9 are 1 + 8 and 2 + 7 making her birtday the 18th or the 27th. Since you said the birthday is not an odd numbder, it must be the 18th.
