Homework Help: science

1.The energy associated with the absorption of a photn of wavelength 4.26 micrometers is ______________?

2.The bond energy associated with the bond between the Nitrogen atom and Bromine atom is______________________?

1. See other post on plancks equation.
2. This question begs for more information. What Nitrogen-Bromine bond?

I'm not sure: The question was constructed this way: The bond energy associated with the bond between the Nitrogen atom and the Bromine atom is __________kj/mole.

I have no idea what you have been studying, and what this complicated question seeks to measure.

A simple estimate, is from Paulings Nobel thesis, that is to estimate the NBr bond as the geometric means of the bond energies of N2 and Br2 molecules.

NBr bond energy = sqrt (N2bondenergy*Br2Bondenergy)

where the bond energies are in kj/mole per bond.

I suspect this is not what your teacher is desiring. You may want to review your notes or text to see if this was specifically covered.
